Eddie Chen

Eddie Chen has extensive work experience in software engineering and development. Eddie is currently employed as a Senior Software Engineer at Zip Co, starting in January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at The Distillery as a Mobile App Lead from August to December 2021. From 2019 to 2021, Eddie worked at ADVAM as an Embedded Software Developer, specializing in payment applications and equipment development for terminals and POS. In 2018, they were self-employed as a Software Engineer, focusing on creating an e-commercial online website and handling order operations and database maintenance. Eddie's earlier experience includes positions at TP-Link Technologies Co., Ltd, where they served as a Tech Lead/Team Lead from 2016 to 2018, a Lead Software Engineer from 2014 to 2016, a Senior Software Engineer from 2011 to 2014, and a Junior Software Engineer from 2009 to 2011.

Eddie Chen obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, where they studied from 2005 to 2009. In addition to their academic education, they have also obtained several certifications. These include Developing Self-Awareness and Teamwork Foundations from LinkedIn in December 2019, Swimming Instructor and Swimming Lifeguard certifications from the National Sports Administration of China in 2018, Securities Practitioners Qualification from the Securities Association of China in December 2017, and Swimming Instructor certification from AUSTSWIM in October 2019.
