Gene O.

Gene O. is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in both startup and established company environments. Currently serving as a Software Engineer at Zip since October 2022, Gene focuses on payments products. Simultaneously, Gene acts as an Advisor for Suite Spots, a corporate and vacation rental startup, and previously held roles such as Co-Founder and Head of Operations, where operational strategies were successfully implemented to stabilize cash flow during challenging periods. Gene's prior experience includes significant contributions at Facebook as an iOS lead on the Profiles feature, as well as roles at Hengpan Medical Technologies and Wish, where Gene was instrumental in developing an iOS application that achieved 4 million daily active users. Gene began a career as a full-stack mobile engineer at Storm8 and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University.
