Dagija Kugeviciute

Dagija K. has a diverse range of work experience in different roles and industries. Dagija started their career as a Cultural Events Manager at VMU Japanese club "Hashi," where they organized events and promoted Japanese culture. Dagija then worked as a JP ➝ LT Translator at publishing companies, translating books and ensuring translation accuracy.

Dagija later became an English Language Teacher at the Itsukaichi Community Center, where they conducted lessons, evaluated student work, and created class materials. Dagija also mentored Japanese exchange students as a Mentor at Newcastle University, focusing on their integration and wellbeing.

In the business sector, Dagija worked as a Japanese-speaking B2B Sales Representative at T&S Enterprises (London) Ltd. Dagija consistently exceeded their annual targets, resolved customer complaints, managed website content, and generated new sales opportunities. Dagija further honed their sales skills as a Sales Associate LED Lighting at Nichia Europe B.V., where they provided support to key account managers, processed orders, and conducted trainings.

At Spher, Dagija served as a UX/UI Designer and owned the end-to-end iterative design process of the new Spher app. Dagija led workshops, design reviews, and collaborated with cross-functional stakeholders to create impactful solutions for women's safety.

Currently, Dagija works as a Jr. Product Designer at Zivver, where they apply their design skills to contribute to their product development.

Throughout their career, Dagija has demonstrated their ability to manage accounts, maintain business relationships, achieve sales targets, and collaborate effectively in a team.

Dagija K. obtained a Bachelor's degree in Japanese and Cultural Studies from Newcastle University, graduating in 2014. In 2021, they attended Ironhack and completed a UX/UI Design Bootcamp. Dagija also studied at Hiroshima Shudo University from 2012 to 2013 and obtained a BA (Hons) in Japanese Studies. Before that, they attended Kaunas A. Martinaitis Art School from 2006 to 2010 and earned a Diploma of Education in Fine Arts. In addition, Dagija K. studied at Vytautas Magnus University Japanese Studies Centre from 2006 to 2008, although no degree or field of study was specified.

Dagija K. has obtained several certifications as well. In 2023, they completed "DESIGN RULES: Principles + Practices for Great UI Design" from Udemy. In 2022, they obtained a certification in "Data Visualisation & Storytelling" from Growth Tribe. In 2021, they completed the UX/UI Design Full-Time Bootcamp at Ironhack. Furthermore, in 2020, they obtained a Life Coaching Certificate Course (Beginner to Advanced) from Achology.
