Sophie Bowler has a diverse range of work experience, with their most recent role being Chief Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer at Zodia Custody. Prior to that, they worked at EY as a Director in Financial Crime Consulting. Sophie held various positions within the company, including Senior Manager and Manager in the same department. Before joining EY, Sophie was the Deputy Money Laundering Reporting Officer at BDO UK LLP. Sophie also has experience in political advisory roles, having worked as a Political Advisor to Bill Newton Dunn at the European Parliament. Sophie's earlier career included roles at the NSW Electoral Commission and as a Research and Media Intern for Gregory Piper, MP for Lake Macquarie.
Sophie Bowler has a Anti-Money Laundering Diploma from Alliance Manchester Business School, obtained in 2015. Prior to that, they earned a 2.1 B.A (Hons) degree in International Relations from the University of Leeds, which they completed in 2010. Sophie also holds additional certifications in Chainalysis, including KYT and Reactor, obtained in July 2023.
