Laura Becerra has held a variety of roles in the tech industry since 2016. In 2016, they were an Innovation Consultant at EL TIEMPO Casa Editorial. Laura then worked as a Graphic Designer at Cooperativa Somos O.C. from 2017 to 2018. From 2018 to 2020, they were a UX/UI Designer at Addi, where they designed the first version of the loan originations platform and planned the ID verification feature/tool to reduce fraud. Laura also worked as a UX Growth Hacker at mitú from 2017 to 2018, where they developed strategies to get revenue by implementing programmatic ads without sacrificing user experience. In 2020, they were a Senior Product Manager, Senior Product Designer, and Product Designer at Zoe Financial, and a UX/UI Designer at Masivian.
Laura Becerra has a diverse educational background. Laura began their studies in 1998 with an International Baccalaureate High School Diploma, which they obtained in 2012. In 2011, they attended Saint Michael's College for an Intensive English Program. From 2012 to 2017, they attended Universidad de Los Andes, where they earned a Design Mayor degree and minors in Entrepreneurship and Textiles. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Digital Product Management: Modern Fundamentals from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2021, Psychology of Interaction Design from the Interaction Design Foundation in 2020, Human-Computer Interaction from the Interaction Design Foundation (IDF) in 2020, Web Design for Usability from the Interaction Design Foundation (IDF) in 2019, and International Baccalaureate from the International Baccalaureate in 2012.
