Yeni Liliana Bernal Rubio currently holds the position of Manager II in Livestock Genetics and Precision Animal Health at Zoetis Inc., where significant accomplishments include leading a sustainability R&D strategy for beef cattle and negotiating collaboration agreements to develop predictive algorithms aligned with sustainability targets. Previously, as a Senior Scientist at Zoetis Inc., Yeni led innovation projects in cattle genetics and developed data-driven predictions for livestock traits, facilitating the successful launch of INHERIT Select™. Earlier roles at Michigan State University included Research Associate, focusing on advanced prediction models for brain tumor patient survival, and Research Scholar, where statistical methods for meta-analysis of GWAS were developed and novel candidate genes were identified. Yeni holds a Ph.D. and Master’s degree in Agricultural Animal Breeding from the University of Buenos Aires and a Bachelor’s degree in Animal/Livestock Husbandry and Production from Universidad Nacional de Colombia.
