Gabriella-Kate Cannon

Gabriella-Kate Cannon has a diverse work experience spanning from 2015 to 2022. In 2015, they began their career as a Customer Service Representative at Dundas West Animal Hospital, where they provided exemplary customer service by greeting clients and their pets, managing appointments, and educating clients on pet health. In 2016, they moved to Leslieville Animal Hospital, where they handled correspondence, accepted payment, scheduled appointments, sold pet care items, and performed closing cash drawer audits. Gabriella-Kate also had sole responsibility for the hospital’s social media platforms, increasing their following by over 250% over a matter of 3 months. In 2017, they joined ZAGENO Inc. as a Frontend Developer, where they worked closely with the Design team to identify and solve UX challenges across the life science marketplace product. Gabriella-Kate was later promoted to QA Team Lead, where they established team processes, hired, coached, and provided career development for a group of QA testers. In 2020, they joined ProShare as a Frontend Developer, where they were part of a small team of 5 engineers, building the core product from the ground up. Gabriella-Kate also joined JustWatch as a Junior Frontend Developer, where they collaborated with the UX team to use techniques such as rapid prototyping and A/B testing to improve user engagement. In 2021, they worked as a Visual Artist, and in 2022, they joined Zoomforth as an Implementation Designer, where they work alongside other departments on the implementation of new digital projects as well as the maintenance of existing sites.

Gabriella-Kate Cannon has a comprehensive education history. In 2010, they obtained a FETAC Level 5 in Legal Administrative Assistant/Secretary from Arklow Community College. Gabriella-Kate then went on to receive a Bachelor's degree in Community Youth Work from Dundalk Institute of Technology in 2011-2012. In 2014, they completed a Level 2 in Women's Hair Cutting from Waverley Academy College. In 2019, they earned a Certificate in Web Development with JavaScript from Ubiqum Code Academy. Gabriella-Kate is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Cyberpsychology from Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, which they began in 2022. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from Udemy, Scrimba, and UXTraining, including User Experience Design Essentials, The UI Design Bootcamp, CSS - The Complete Guide 2020, The Complete JavaScript Course 2020, Vue JS 2 - The Complete Guide, Creating Accessible Websites, User Experience Training Course, Javascript Essentials, and The Complete Sass & SCSS Course.
