Gabriel Moreira

Gabriel Moreira has a diverse work experience. Gabriel is currently working as a Data Scientist at Zoox Smart Data since December 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Researcher at Sungkyunkwan University from September 2016 to August 2020. In this role, they performed statistical analysis of smartphone usage data, developed app prediction models using Natural Language Processing and neural networks, implemented deep learning using Keras with TensorFlow, and developed Android app-cycle simulations using Python. Gabriel also worked on multiphysics modeling software for enhancing piezoelectric power generation and performed mechanical physics analysis using Matlab.

Gabriel also gained international experience as an Exchange Student under the Science Without Borders program at Sungkyunkwan University from August 2013 to August 2014. Additionally, they have interned at Hyundai Rotem, Jowtek Co., Ltd., Energisa, and CEPEL. At Energisa, they improved the energy price prediction data system, analyzed energy consumption profiles to identify potential customers, and assisted customers in free energy market migration. At CEPEL, they interned at Eletrobrás Electric Power Research Center, gaining valuable experience in the field.

Gabriel Moreira received a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from UERJ, starting their studies in 2008 and completing them in 2015. Gabriel then pursued a Master's degree in Energy Harvesting at Sungkyunkwan University, studying from 2016 to 2018. Gabriel further expanded their knowledge in the field of Computer Engineering by pursuing another Master's degree at the same university from 2018 to 2020.
