Brian Libonate

Brian Libonate has over 28 years of work experience in various roles within the technology industry. Brian began their career as a Software Engineer at Amisys in 1993 and later worked as a Developer at Xpedior in 2000. In 2001, they served as a Sales Support Engineer at Calendra and a Software Engineer at Intanda.

In 2001, Brian joined Virgin Mobile USA as a Software Development Manager, where they played a crucial role in designing and developing the company's retail website and mobile sites. Brian stayed at Virgin Mobile USA for almost 7 years.

Brian joined Verizon Wireless in 2008, serving in multiple roles over a span of 9 years. As the Principal Member of the Technical Staff and Lead Identity Product Manager, they led the deployment of SS7 and SIP Caller Verification platforms, which helped detect spoofed calls and defend against account takeovers and fraud. Brian also created a B2B Identity verification platform using web standards like OAuth 2. In addition, they led the cross-functional team for Precision Market Insights, where they designed and deployed a Mobile Device Authentication and Subscriber Identity/Authentication platform.

From 2017 to 2019, Brian worked at Payfone (Now Prove) as a Senior Product Manager & Solutions Architect. Brian spearheaded the design and launch of Payfone's Voice OTP service and led the technical strategy for the SIP Call Verification zero knowledge proof product design.

From 2019 to 2020, Brian served as a Technical Account Manager / Solutions Architect at Socure, where they managed client integration onto the identity verification SaaS platform and developed strategic KPIs and a Customer Health dashboard for the sales team.

Most recently, Brian has been working at Intuit since 2020 as a Product Manager, leading the creation of a new platform responsible for Identity Verification micro-services. Brian drives the Mission, Vision, and Roadmap for IAL2 compliant government-issued Identity document verification.

Currently, Brian is a Senior Product Manager at Zumigo Inc., starting in 2023.

Brian Libonate received their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Science from the University of Maryland Global Campus in 1998. Brian completed their Master of Science in the same field at the same university during the same period of time.
