Aswin Kumar

Aswin Kumar has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies. Aswin began their career as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Valeo, where they were involved in the early stages of designing and developing a new range of passenger car alternators. Aswin was later promoted to Design Engineer and led a team of four design engineers, receiving the Team Excellence Award for their work. As a Senior Design Engineer, Aswin designed and developed a new range of Ultra Low Cost Alternators for emerging countries.

After Valeo, Aswin joined SAP as a Management Intern, where they analyzed factors contributing to the efficient functioning of the Presales Org. Aswin conducted primary research and mapped the competencies of the Presales team to identify training gaps and recommend relevant training platforms.

Following their time at SAP, Aswin worked at Google as a Campaign Manager, responsible for managing digital advertising campaigns for notable advertisers. Aswin worked closely with clients, including Volkswagen and Nestle, to meet their marketing objectives and utilized advanced optimization techniques across Google Search Network, Mobile, and YouTube.

From there, Aswin joined Amazon, where they held several roles. Aswin started as a Product Manager, executing critical projects and handling the profit and loss for a US Media category. Aswin was later promoted to Senior Product Manager, where they managed and drove projects end-to-end, participated in reviews with Amazon's Executive Leadership team, and analyzed and solved key business problems. As a Manager of Product Management, Aswin led a team of five Product Managers and one Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE), delivering automation and tools in supply chain management and vendor management domains.

Most recently, Aswin has joined Zuora as the Director of Product Management, starting in 2023.

Aswin Kumar has a diverse education history. Aswin attended BV Ashram in Chennai from 1991 to 2003, where they completed their High School education. Following that, they enrolled in DAV MHSS in Mogappair, Chennai, from 2003 to 2005 for their Higher Secondary education. Aswin then pursued a BE degree in Mechanical Engineering from College of Engineering, Guindy, from 2005 to 2009.

In 2012, Aswin Kumar joined the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad for their Post Graduate Program, specializing in Business Administration and Management. Aswin completed this program in 2014.

Additionally, Aswin Kumar has obtained several certifications. In 2008, they earned a certification in Programming in C, C++, and Java from NIIT Media Technologies, LLC. Most recently, in April 2020, they obtained certifications in Google AdWords and Google Analytics from Google.
