Michael P. Smith

Michael P. Smith, MA, is a highly experienced leader and consultant with a diverse background in military command and contract management. Currently serving as Brigade Commander of the 655th Regional Support Group, Michael oversees the readiness and welfare of over 1,800 Soldiers. Additionally, as a Contract Specialist Consultant for ZYGOS Consulting LLC, Michael supports the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health in acquisition and contracting to enhance healthcare outcomes. Previous roles include Battalion Commander for the 257th Transportation Battalion, Senior Acquisition Analyst supporting Walter Reed Army Institute of Research, and various contract administration positions, showcasing a strong proficiency in military operations, training, and contract management across multiple organizations. Michael holds a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership and multiple degrees in business and technology.
