Mike Shea

Mike Shea has worked in the software engineering and development field since 1996. Mike began their career at ColorEdge as a Web Developer, where they worked on various sites. In 1998, they moved to Execusite, Inc. as Lead Developer, where they were the lead architect of a build-your-own website tool for Accountants. In 2001, Mike started their own web development company, Wired Pear, where they did all the design/programming for various clients. From 2006 to 2019, they worked at Surfline Wavetrak, Inc., first as a Software Engineering Manager, then as a Senior Application Developer. In this role, they managed all subscriptions from backend processes, to API integration and all the way through the front-end mobile and desktop signups and renewals. Mike was also a major contributor to Surfline/Buoweather and Fishtrack's APIs. Finally, in 2021, Mike joined Zymo Research Corp as a Software Engineering Manager.

Mike Shea attended Woodbridge High School from 1984 to 1988. Mike then attended UC Santa Barbara from 1988 to 1992, where they received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Economics.
