Maria F. Lucas

Maria F. Lucas is the Co-Founder and CEO of Zymvol Biomodeling. Prior to this, they were a Senior Research Scientist at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center from February 2008 to November 2016, where they managed research progress and communicated with experimental and industrial partners. Maria was also a Senior Research Scientist at Anaxomics from May 2015 to November 2016, where they coordinated the computational efforts of Anaxomics Biotech within the INDOX European project. Maria's research interests include protein design, protein-ligand and DNA-drug interactions, reaction mechanisms, binding free energies, and electron transfer.

Maria F. Lucas has a finance degree from Esade and a PhD in computational chemistry from Universidade do Porto. Maria also has a master's degree in theoretical chemistry from Universidade do Porto and a degree in chemistry from Universidade do Porto. Maria has taken a painting course at BCM ART GALLERY.
