Rain Rannu

Rain Rannu has a diverse work experience in the tech and investment industry. Rain is the Film Director, Producer & Investor at Tallifornia since 2018, where they focus on producing feature films and managing the first private film fund in Estonia. Rain is also a Founding Partner at Superangel since 2018, where they are responsible for early stage investments and company building.

Additionally, Rain Rannu has served as a Member of Supervisory Board at Inbank AS since 2015, and as an Angel Investor since 2013, making seed and early stage investments in European and US startups with global ambitions.

In 2000, Rain Rannu co-founded Mobi Solutions, an incubator for tech companies. Through Mobi Solutions, they co-founded Fortumo, a mobile payments service, and Messente, a business-critical messaging platform. Fortumo was later acquired by Boku Inc. in 2020.

Rain Rannu is also a Co-Founder and Member of Supervisory Board at Garage48 Foundation since 2010, which organizes boot-camp style events to build new services in a short time.

Furthermore, Rain Rannu co-founded 1oT in 2016, and Estonian Startup Leaders Club in 2009, where they served as the CEO and a Board Member respectively.

Rain Rannu's education history begins in 1998 when they enrolled at the University of Tartu to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Sciences with a focus on Public Administration. Rain successfully completed their studies in 2002.

Subsequently, in 2004, Rain continued their educational journey at the University of Tartu by pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Their field of study during this program was Entrepreneurship and Technology Management. After three years of dedication and learning, Rain Rannu successfully obtained their MBA degree in 2007.
