Ignacio Rozada

Lead Optimization at 1QBit

Ignacio Rozada has a diverse work experience in various scientific and mathematical roles. Since 2018, they have been working at 1QBit, where they started as a Principal Optimization Solutions Scientist and later became the Lead Optimization. Prior to this, from 2013 to 2018, they worked at the British Columbia Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS as a Mathematical Modeler. In 2012, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow at BCIT, where they focused on modeling the growth of tree embryos using differential equations and exploring optimization techniques. Their academic background includes being a PhD candidate in Applied Mathematics at The University of British Columbia from 2009 to 2012, where their research involved analyzing and simulating models of natural patterns. In 2005, they were a Graduate Student Affiliate at Los Alamos National Laboratory.

Ignacio Rozada has a strong educational background with degrees in applied mathematics and physics. Ignacio first pursued their Bachelor of Science in Physics at Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México from 1998 to 2004. During this time, they gained a solid foundation in physics. In 2002, Rozada briefly attended New York University, where they focused on physics and applied mathematics. However, they did not earn a degree from this institution. Following their time in New York, they enrolled at The University of New Mexico from 2004 to 2006 and obtained a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics. Finally, they pursued a PhD in Applied Mathematics at The University of British Columbia from 2006 to 2012, further expanding their expertise in this field. Overall, Ignacio Rozada's education has equipped him with a strong background in applied mathematics and physics.
