Jonathan Wong has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific research. Jonathan started their career as a Laboratory Assistant at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in 2012, where they conducted molecular biology assays and managed lab assistants. In 2013, they joined the Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego as a Research Administration Contractor, focusing on diabetes and endocrinology. Additionally, they worked at the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute as a Research Assistant in the Freeze Lab, where they conducted analysis and validation of congenital diseases of Glycosylation subtypes.
In 2016, Jonathan joined ScribeAmerica as an Emergency Department Scribe, providing assistance in medical documentation. During the same year, they also started working at Twist Bioscience as a Manufacturing Associate, specializing in the building, characterization, and manufacturing of custom gene products. Their responsibilities included plasmid design, preparation, testing, troubleshooting, and supporting quality control processes.
More recently, Jonathan joined Adicet Bio, Inc in 2018 and held multiple roles. Jonathan started as a Research Associate, where they designed and generated novel constructs for cell-based therapeutics in cancer treatments. Jonathan authored technical reports for two programs, ADI-001 and ADI-002, and contributed to the development and optimization of antibody sequencing workflows. Later, they were promoted to Senior Research Associate and then to Associate Scientist in 2022.
Throughout their career, Jonathan has demonstrated expertise in molecular biology, cell culture techniques, and laboratory management.
Jonathan Wong completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at UC San Diego from 2010 to 2015. Jonathan then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Biotechnology from Johns Hopkins University Advanced Academic Programs from 2021 to 2024. In addition to their formal education, Jonathan also obtained certifications in the Fundamentals of Immunology Specialization from Coursera in December 2020, as well as in Biology Meets Programming: Bioinformatics from Coursera in August 2020.
