Raquel Guzman Geara

Raquel Guzman Geara, AIA, currently serves as the YAF Chair and Co-Chair for AIA Chicago, focusing on networking and growth opportunities for young architects. As an Associate Architect at SmithGroup since March 2018, Raquel has worked on various projects, including workplace designs for GoDaddy and ASML, and has been part of the SmithGroup COVID-19 ReEntry Task Force. Raquel is also the Architect II at Arquitina, where Raquel acts as a Founding Mentor and Board Member, promoting the advancement of licensed Latina architects. Previous roles include leadership positions at Toastmasters International and multiple architectural positions at SmithGroup, with a foundational education in architecture from Savannah College of Art and Design.
