Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Airborne Technology

Dave Evans has over 18 years of work experience in various engineering and manufacturing roles. Dave is currently working as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at Airborne, where they lead a large production team and ensures efficient and quality production processes. Prior to this, Dave worked at Archer as a Propeller Design Engineer/Manufacturing Engineer, where they focused on high-volume automated manufacturing for eVTOL aircraft. Dave also worked at Dowty Propellers for several years, starting as a Electrical and Mechanical Facilities Engineer, and progressing to Lead Manufacturing Engineer and Manufacturing Engineer roles. During their time at Dowty Propellers, Dave spearheaded the production lifecycle of new composite propeller designs, championed continuous improvement initiatives, and played an active role in R&D programs. Dave's earlier work experience includes a role as a Materials and Processes Technician at Dowty Propellers, where they improved materials and processes, and a role as a Finance Administrator at Sisu Pancakes, where they provided support in establishing a cake business. In addition to their professional experience, Dave has also served in the British Army Reserves as a Lance Corporal.

Dave Evans attended St. Peters R.C School from 1999 to 2004. In 2004, they enrolled in Clarkson Evans Training and obtained a City and Guilds in Electrotechnical Installation from 2004 to 2006. In 2009, they attended Gloucestershire college and earned a City and Guilds degree in Manufacturing Engineering. Lastly, from 2016 to 2018, they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering at Gloucester Engineering Training, where they obtained an HNC.
