Tom Basterash is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the HVAC and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Building Controls Engineering Manager and Controls System Architect at Trane Technologies since June 2001, Tom focuses on developing embedded Linux HVAC applications and maintaining the Linux kernel for various hardware and software needs. Prior to this, Tom was the Vice President at Millennium Data Management Inc., where responsibilities included managing hardware and software development for mobile retroreflectometers used in assessing pavement markings. Tom also held the position of Director of Engineering at DriSteem, overseeing the engineering department and engaging in hardware and embedded software development initiatives. Tom began the career as a Design Analysis Engineer at Honeywell, applying controls to gas-fired appliances. Currently pursuing an MBA at the University of St. Thomas, Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
