Dominik P.H. Kalisch

Dominik P.H. Kalisch has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Dominik P.H. is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Alephnet, a company they started in 2021. Prior to this, Kalisch worked at Cassini Consulting AG from 2019 to 2021 as an Associate Partner and Business Lead. Dominik P.H. also worked as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Business Analytics at the University of Hawai'i - Shidler College of Business, where they founded and led the Hawai'i Urban Innovation Lab, a collaborative network focused on smart living, urban analytics, and sustainability.

Earlier in their career, Kalisch held positions such as Senior Research Scientist at Fraunhofer IAO, where they led multiple research projects and conducted data analysis for various organizations, and Head of Health and Infection Reporting at the State Office for Environment, Health and Consumer Protection of the Federal State of Brandenburg, where they directed health analytics and reporting.

Additionally, Kalisch has experience in technology development and business management, having served as the Director of Technology and Development at Neumeyer Personal und Expertise, where they developed a network-based HR search engine and managed IT systems.

Dominik P.H. Kalisch's education history begins in 1999 when they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Essen. Dominik P.H. then pursued further education at the University of Duisburg-Essen from 2005 to 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science in Social Science and a Master of Science in Social Science.

Between 2008 and 2013, Kalisch attended Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science.

In 2009, they also spent time as a Visiting Predoctoral Fellow in the Department of Engineering Sciences & Applied Mathematics at Northwestern University, specifically in the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems.
