Kaveh Abhari

Kaveh Abhari has a diverse range of work experience. Since 2017, they have been a Professor of Information Systems at the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University. Prior to this, they held positions as an Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in the same field at the university. In 2019, they became the Faculty Director of the Digital Innovation Lab (DiLab), where they still hold the role. In 2014, they became the Faculty Director at STEMD2 Research & Development Group, a position they currently maintain. Additionally, Kaveh Abhari is the Co-Founder of Alephnet, a company they established in 2021. Kaveh has also held positions such as Vice Chair at the Roshan Cultural Heritage Institute and Senior Advisor at the Bizgenics Foundation. Furthermore, they have been involved with the University of Hawaii at Manoa since 2011, serving as a Principal Investigator, Project Director, and Affiliate Faculty at STEMD², CDS. Kaveh has also worked as a Researcher at the university. In 2014, they became an Adjunct Faculty of Information Technology Management at the University of Hawai‘i - Shidler College of Business. Kaveh has taken on the role of HICSS Technical Coordinator for the Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences (HICSS) from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, in 2016, they founded Kanalytix.

Kaveh Abhari has an extensive education history. Kaveh obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Communication and Information Sciences from the University of Hawaii at Manoa from 2011 to 2014. Prior to this, from 2007 to 2012, they completed another PhD program in Strategic Marketing Management at Universiti Sains Malaysia. Kaveh also holds a Master of Science (MSc.) in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tabriz, which they earned from 2004 to 2007. Kaveh began their undergraduate studies at the University of Mazandaran in 1998, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Electronic Engineering, which they completed in 2003. Additionally, from 1998 to 2000, Kaveh attended Amirkabir University of Technology - Tehran Polytechnic, although the degree name for this period is not provided.

In terms of certifications, Kaveh has completed various courses and programs. In 2015, they obtained certifications in "The Data Scientist's Toolbox," "Pattern Discovery in Data Mining," "SAP Business Suite 4 SAP HANA," and "Web Application Architectures" from Coursera. In the same year, they also obtained a certification in "R Programming" from Coursera. Prior to this, in 2014, they completed the "Process Mining: Data science in Action" course from Coursera, as well as the "Bioinformatic Methods II" and "Interprofessional Healthcare Informatics" courses. In 2013, they obtained a certification in "Bioinformatic Methods I," also from Coursera. Additionally, Kaveh has certifications in "Strategic Planning & Strategic Management" and "Strategic Marketing Management" from the Training Bureau for Industrial Management, obtained in 2005 and 2004, respectively.
