Alireza TELGERDI

Alireza Telgerdi has a long and varied work experience. From 2018 to present, they have been working as a Product Expert at ALIZENT, where they are responsible for integrating data from solar/chemical sites into Amazon AWS, implementing and supporting Smart and Innovative projects based on OSIsoft PI, Aveva Predictive Analytics, AIMMS, and Tibco, and using machine learning for solar sites and chemical plants. From 2016 to 2018, they completed an extended internship at Fortress Specialty Cellulose Inc., where they constructed a plant-wide dynamic model of process and did a detailed Degree-of-Freedom analysis for equipment on fiber and regeneration lines, to de-risk an under-development project for reducing energy costs, studying bio-refinery options, and constructing an ABC accounting model. Alireza also won a NSERC Engage Grant. From 2005 to 2016, they worked at the National Iranian Gas Company as a Geographic Information System (GIS) project manager, where they organized to expand the GIS culture in 22 subsidiaries of the province. Alireza also worked as a GIS technical founder/manager, studying the status of company’s attribute data, maps, and procedures and developing/supervising GIS projects to face data-related problems of the company. Additionally, they served as the Director of two new-born gas distribution utilities, simultaneously. Finally, from 2004 to 2005, they worked at Khangiran natural gas refinery as a Natural gas plant operator, where they treated about 40-60 million m3 per day of sour gas - containing 1.2 % hydrogen sulfide, 2.

Alireza Telgerdi has a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (Natural Gas Industry) from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, obtained in 2002. Alireza also holds twenty five certificates in natural gas distribution from the National Iranian Gas Company, obtained in 2014. In 2010, they obtained an ArcGIS advanced certification from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad-FUM. Alireza went on to pursue a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Chemical Engineering, process and environment from Polytechnique Montréal, obtained in 2016. In 2018, they obtained an Introduction to R for Data Science certification from Microsoft. In 2019, they obtained a Principles of Machine Learning - R edition certification from Microsoft. In 2020, they obtained a Deep Learning Fundamentals with Keras certification from IBM, an OSIsoft Accredited - PI System Infrastructure Specialist certification from OSIsoft, and a Deep Learning with Tensorflow certification from IBM. Alireza also obtained an AVEVA Predictive Analytics Administration certification from AVEVA in 2022, and an AVEVA Predictive Analytics User Client certification from AVEVA in the same year.
