Katie Mangle

Katie Mangle is a highly experienced urban planner with a robust background in managing and leading planning initiatives across various organizations. Currently serving as Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President/Portland Group Leader at Alta Planning + Design since January 2014, Katie guides a team of planners, engineers, and landscape architects to develop active communities. Previous roles include Vice President and Northwest Regional Manager for the Women's Transportation Seminar, Long Range Planning Manager for the City of Wilsonville, Planning Director for the City of Milwaukie, Senior Planner at URS Corporation, and Capital Projects Planner at TriMet. Katie holds dual Master's degrees in City Planning with a focus on Urban Design and Development from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts in Growth and Structure of Cities from Bryn Mawr College.
