Hansie Schutte

Hansie Schutte is Altron’s Group Executive of Legal. Hansie has 30 years of corporate and commercial legal experience in the ICT and mining sectors and was appointed to the Altron Group Executive Committee in March 2021. Having initially joined the Group in February 1991, Hansie held various positions at senior management and executive level in Altech until 2001, when he moved to work for local and international companies in the ICT and mining sectors as legal counsel. Hansie re-joined Altech in June 2011 and, following its de-listing, moved to Altron’s legal department.

He is a past chairman of the Altron Young President’s Club and, in 2015, he won the Altron Chairman’s Distinguish Merit Award for his outstanding contribution to the company.

Hansie holds a B Comm, an LLB, and is an Admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa.
