ACP-California (ACP-CA) is a state project of ACP, representing companies who develop, own, and operate utility-scale solar, storage, geothermal, land-based wind, offshore wind, and transmission assets to power a clean and renewable economy for California and the West.
Position Summary
The ACP-California Communications Director is a part of ACP’s State Affairs team, and greater Advocacy department, working with ACP-CA’s staff and consultants in California. This newly created position will play a pivotal role in ACP-CA’s growth and maturation, overseeing the organization’s strategic communications as California pursues an unprecedented buildout of clean energy infrastructure to meet its ambitious climate goals. The Communications Director will work alongside the ACP-CA Executive Director and Pacific Offshore Wind Director to develop and implement communications strategies, manage media relations, build a network of supporters, and create and distribute effective messaging to foster a positive information environment to support the clean energy industry’s growth.

Job Conditions
We are a fast-paced, high-energy organization with a very ambitious agenda and a staff that is highly motivated. This position may experience high-level work demands and independent decision-making under tight timelines. Occasional travel outside of the Sacramento area for meetings or events may be required. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. ACP will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
We reasonably believe that the base salary range for this position is $100,000 -135,000. At ACP, a wide range of factors are considered when making compensation decisions including and not limited to skillset, experience, training, education, knowledge, and other business and organizational needs. ACP offers 401k, PTO and sick leave, commuter benefits, wellness reimbursement, and professional development/tuition reimbursements for eligible employees.
