Billy Rankin

Billy Rankin is a seasoned professional in wilderness medicine and risk management, currently serving as the Owner and Lead Instructor at Intuition Consulting since January 2019. With extensive experience as an Instructor Trainer and Pro Instructor at the American Institute for Avalanche Research and Education since October 2021, Billy has also held various leadership roles, including Guide and Snow Safety Director at Eleven Experience, and Guide Operations and Risk Manager at Irwin Guides. Prior roles include instructing Wilderness First Responder courses with NOLS Wilderness Medicine and serving as Course Leader at Silverton Avalanche School. Billy's career spans over two decades in outdoor education, safety, and avalanche forecasting, complemented by a Bachelor's Degree in Geology/Earth Science from Western Colorado University.
