Jennifer Brooks

Jennifer Brooks is a seasoned professional in the field of visual disabilities, currently serving as a Regional Training Specialist and National Abacus Bee Event Coordinator at the American Printing House for the Blind since September 2022. With extensive experience in developing and implementing statewide events for families and children with visual impairments at the Florida Instructional Materials Center for the Visually Impaired, Jennifer has coordinated initiatives such as the Florida Cane Quest® and the Florida Braille Challenge. Jennifer also held a role as an Adjunct Instructor at Florida State University, supervising internship students, and was the Director of Program Services at Tampa Lighthouse for the Blind, overseeing operations and strategic program development. Jennifer's background includes program development for the Peace Corps, where successful 'Life Skills for the Blind' programs were initiated in Romania. Jennifer holds both a master's and bachelor's degree in Visual Disabilities from Florida State University.
