Annelise Vieira is a graduate research assistant in Dr. Jocelyn Rose's plant biology lab at Cornell University, where studies focus on the anatomical and biomechanical traits of tomato fruit cuticles. Vieira is also a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow, recognized for exceptional research and outreach contributions. As a Plantae Fellow with the American Society of Plant Biologists, Vieira represents New York in a global network, produces highlight summaries of research publications, and creates content for diverse audiences. Previous experience includes undergraduate research in plant breeding at the University of Florida and a collection digitization internship at the Florida Museum of Natural History. Annelise Vieira holds a Master of Science in Plant Biology from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Plant Science with a minor in Bioinformatics from the University of Florida.
