Sera Kinoglu

Research Scientist at Amherst H. Wilder Foundation

Sera works on a variety of projects using both qualitative and quantitative methods and is involved in instrument design, coordinating and conducting data collection, and preparation of reports or literature reviews. She is interested in a variety of topics, but is particularly drawn to the connections between food, health, and community, as well as health and educational disparities.

Sera joined Wilder Research in 2014 after completing her master’s degree in applied anthropology from Oregon State University, where she also taught undergraduate anthropology classes and worked with a local nonprofit on the evaluation and promotion of a farmers’ market SNAP incentive program. Prior to graduate school, she worked as a marketing coordinator for four years, including one year with Americorps VISTA. Sera received her bachelor’s degree from Concordia College (Moorhead) in marketing and French.

Outside of Wilder, Sera loves cooking, hiking around/kayaking in Minnesota lakes, yoga, and traveling.
