Chris Swanson

Chris Swanson has a diverse work experience in software engineering. Chris currently works as a Principal Software Engineer at Ampere since December 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Kontron America from July 2002 until December 2022, where they specialized in firmware development including BIOS, UEFI, bootloaders, and microcontrollers, as well as application development such as kernels, device drivers, BSPS, utilities, diagnostics, and manufacturing programs. Before that, they worked as a Software Engineer at Pacific Advanced Technology from June 1996 to September 2000.

Chris Swanson completed an Associate of Science degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Santa Barbara City College from 1996 to 2000. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Cruz, which they completed from 2000 to 2002.
