Rick M.

Rick M. has extensive work experience in the IT industry. Rick currently holds the position of Chief Information Security Officer and Head of Technology Infrastructure at Amscot Financial, where they are responsible for cybersecurity, technology infrastructure engineering, and platform operations. Prior to this, Rick held various roles at Ultimate Medical Academy, including Associate Vice President of IT Engineering and Information Security, and Senior Director of IT Engineering and Information Security. In these positions, they were responsible for driving transformational change within the IT organization and managing infrastructure engineering, DevOps, service desk, PC support, network engineering, storage engineering, and information security teams. Earlier in their career, Rick worked at Syniverse Technologies as a Senior Director of Technology and a Technology Manager, overseeing the operations of enterprise grade applications, capacity planning, release management, disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and budget planning. Rick also has experience working as a Technical Product Manager at SourceTrack and as an IT Global Services Consultant at IBM Global Services. Rick started their career as a Senior System Engineer at GTE Data Services.

Rick M. attended the University of Florida from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BS BA) with a major in Computer Science. In 2018, they received a certification in Access Controls from Coursera. Rick M. further enhanced their qualifications by obtaining the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification from (ISC)² in February 2021.
