Whitney Miller has a diverse work experience in various government and accountability roles. Whitney began their career as an Intern at the Office of the Governor of Kentucky in 2004, where they organized briefings and assisted with administrative tasks. In 2005, they joined the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) as an Analyst, later transitioning to the role of Senior Analyst. During their time at GAO, they worked on several high-profile projects and provided congressional testimonies on topics such as reserve units in Iraq and Afghanistan and the acquisition of weapon systems and services by the Department of Defense. In 2008, they joined the Special Inspector General for Iraq Reconstruction as a Senior Program Analyst, where they assessed compliance with policy and provided recommendations for improvement. Whitney then moved to the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction in 2010, continuing their work as a Senior Program Analyst. Since 2014, Whitney has been associated with Amtrak OIG, initially serving as a Senior Analyst/Independent Reference Reviewer and then as a Senior Manager in Quality Assurance. Whitney currently holds the position of Chief of Staff at Amtrak OIG, starting in April 2020.
Whitney Miller completed their education in chronological order. From 1997 to 2001, they attended Miami University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in French as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Whitney then went on to the University of Kentucky, where they pursued further studies. From 2002 to 2004, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in International Business. During the same period, they also completed a Master of Arts degree in International Commerce.
