Sam Thornton

Sam Thornton has a diverse work experience starting from their role as a Work Experience Placement at RDS Technology Ltd in 2007. Sam then worked as a Design Innovation Leader and Promoter at Intelligent Mobility Solutions from September 2014 to June 2015. Moving forward, they joined Allan Webb Ltd as a Data Analyst & Technical Clerk from September 2015 to October 2016. Following this, Sam worked at BBA Reman as a Technical Consultant & Financial Officer from October 2016 to March 2018 and as a Business Analyst & Operations Manager from January 2018 to February 2019. Sam then joined Ocado Group as a Business and Data Analyst in the Logistics department from February 2019 to February 2022, and later as a Senior Business Analyst from January 2022 to April 2022. After that, Sam worked at PHD as a Business Intelligence Manager from April 2022 to May 2023. Currently, they are working at Annalect as a Business Intelligence Solutions Manager since September 2022 and as a Senior Database Engineer since May 2023.

Sam Thornton holds a strong educational background, beginning with their High School education at Marling Grammar School from 2002 to 2009. During this time, Sam studied Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, and Fine Art. In 2010, they furthered their education by attending The University of Manchester to pursue a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Sam successfully completed their degree in 2014. Continuing their academic journey, Sam enrolled in the University of Manchester to obtain a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from 2010 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Sam has also obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2010, they acquired a Level 2 Coaching Certificate from British Rowing, showcasing their dedication to coaching. A year later, in 2011, Sam obtained a First Aid certification from the Red Cross EU Office, emphasizing their commitment to safety and well-being. Most recently, in 2023, Sam became a certified Future Frontiers Coach, indicating their passion for guiding and mentoring others.
