Anurag Limdi

Data Scientist II at Apriori Bio

Anurag Limdi has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedicine and data science. Anurag started their career as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at ncbs-bangalore in 2015, where they conducted research with C. elegans and fluorescently tagged E. coli. In 2016, Anurag worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, gaining further research experience. Anurag then returned to ncbs-bangalore in 2016 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant, this time working under the guidance of Prof. Shashi Thutupalli at the Simons Center for Study of Living Machines.

In 2019, Anurag joined Harvard University as a Teaching Fellow, where they assisted in teaching responsibilities until May 2020. In 2021, they became a Learner at the Harvard Biotech Club, affiliated with the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences (GSAS). Anurag continued to expand their biotechnology knowledge by joining DigitalDx Ventures in 2022 as a Fellow.

In 2017, Anurag began their journey towards a PhD at the Harvard University Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. Under the guidance of Prof. Michael Baym in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Laboratory of Systems Pharmacology at Harvard Medical School, Anurag focused on mapping local fitness landscapes over 50,000 generations of evolution in E. coli. Anurag utilized comprehensive genome-wide transposon insertion mutagenesis (TnSeq) in various strain backgrounds to investigate changes in gene essentiality.

Most recently, Anurag joined Apriori Bio in 2023 as a Data Scientist, where they are expected to employ their expertise and skills in data analysis and modeling.

Anurag Limdi completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) between 2013 and 2017. Following this, they pursued further education at Harvard University, where they are currently working towards a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. This program began in 2017 and is expected to be completed in 2023.
