Max Liu has worked in a variety of roles since 2019. In 2019, they were a Software Engineer Intern at Easy Time LLC, where they created game features, integrated Google analytics API into the website, and streamlined the website frontend design. In 2020, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University School of Computer Science and as a Software Engineer Intern at Verkada, where they pioneered Verkada's audio classification venture, led meetings with the machine learning team, and trained proof-of-concept classification models. In 2021, they worked as a Software Engineer Intern at DoorDash, where they built an end-to-end system to detect and mitigate credit card fraud from anonymous users, integrated an api pipeline to gather info on user IPs, and visualized metrics on Chronosphere. Finally, they are currently working as a Research Engineer at Aquatic Capital Management since 2022.
Max Liu attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2018 to 2021, earning a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Machine Learning.
