Kumaraswamy Sorra

Kumaraswamy Sorra, Ph.D., has extensive work experience in the life sciences industry. Kumaraswamy is currently serving as the Principal Scientific Manager at Aragen Life Sciences since August 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Principal Scientist at Intonation Research Laboratories from February 2018 to July 2021. Before that, they worked as a Senior Scientific Manager at Aragen Life Sciences from April 2005 to February 2018, where they led research teams in the synthesis of NCEs for diverse therapeutic areas and maintained communication with internal and external customers. Dr. Sorra's earlier experience includes working as a Research Executive - R&D at SMS PHARMACEUTICALS LIMITED from June 2003 to March 2005 and as a Research Associate at Thioxazo Bio-tech Laboratories from January 2000 to May 2003.

Kumaraswamy Sorra, Ph.D. completed their education history as follows: Kumaraswamy earned their Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemistry and Biology from Andhra University in 1997. Kumaraswamy then proceeded to complete their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Organic & Medicinal Chemistry at Osmania University in 1999. Kumaraswamy Sorra further pursued their education by obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Organic Chemistry with a specialization in synthetic studies towards naturally occurring 1,4-benzodiazepines from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University between the years 2008 to 2014. Prior to these academic achievements, they completed their secondary education at Douglas M H School in 1991, after completing SSC.
