Janet Corcoran

Janet Corcoran has a diverse and extensive work experience in the insurance industry. Janet started their career as an Outside Claim Adjuster at Commercial Union Insurance in 1983. After that, they worked as a Claims Examiner at Sentry Insurance in 1985. Janet then joined John Hancock Property and Casualty as a Senior Internal Auditor in 1986. In 1989, they became the Manager of Internal Audit at Arbella Insurance Group, where they worked until 1992. From 1992 to 1994, they served as a Senior Technical Specialist at Arbella, before transitioning to the role of Senior Manager of Workers' Compensation from 1994 to 1997. Janet then held positions as Assistant Vice President of Commercial Lines (1997-1999), and Assistant Vice President of Commercial Lines Operations (1999-2002) at Arbella. Janet subsequently became the Vice President of Operations from 2002 to 2007. Finally, they held the position of Executive VP and COO at Arbella Insurance Group from 2007 onwards. Throughout their career, Janet has been responsible for various aspects of policy administration, claims, information technology, facilities, real estate, and operations.

Janet Corcoran holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance and Insurance from the University of Rhode Island, which they obtained between 1979 and 1983. Janet also earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Insurance Management from Boston University, completing their studies between 2003 and 2005. In addition to their degrees, Janet possesses two certifications: the Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance (AIAF), obtained in 1992, and the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), obtained in 1989.
