Zareen Gauhar

Zareen Gauhar, PhD, is an accomplished professional in the medical communications field, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Group Medical Director at AREA 23 on Hudson, an IPG Health Company, since March 2022. Prior to this role, Zareen spent several years at ACCESS Medical, LLC, where responsibilities included positions such as President of Scientific Strategy and Senior Vice President, focusing on medical communication tactics across various pharmaceutical agents and disease states. Experience also includes roles at Discovery USA, where Zareen led scientific strategy development, and earlier positions emphasizing medical writing and research at ACCESS Medical and Harvard Medical School. Zareen earned a PhD in Genetics, Molecular Biology, and Genomics from Yale School of Medicine and holds a BA in Biology and Chemistry from Mount Holyoke College.
