David Scoppa

David Scoppa has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. David is currently the Director of Business Development - North America at Ascend Elements, where they lead the regional sales team and is responsible for the sales and offtake of battery cathode precursor, cathode active material, and Lithium products. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Development Manager at Ascend Elements, focusing on manufacturing advanced battery materials. Before joining Ascend Elements, David was a Business Development Manager at Okaya (U.S.A.), Inc. In 2018, they held roles as Senior Sales and Purchasing at Hanwa Co Ltd and Trader at the same company from 2018 to 2020. David also worked as an Account Executive at Nishiyama Corporation from 2014 to 2017. In addition to their corporate experience, David has worked as an International Exchange and Program Coordinator at Tokiwa University, an English Instructor at Lily Academy's English World Adventure, an Assistant English Instructor and Assistant Coach at Hokota City Board of Education, and an ESL Instructor at Heart English School. David also had a role as a Private Instructor from 2008 to 2014 and provided communication support and translation services at Environmental Measurement Services in 2008 and 2009.

David Scoppa has a Bachelor's degree in Communication/International Studies from The University of Kansas. David also studied abroad at the University of Wollongong and Kanagawa University, with a focus on Japanese Studies. Additionally, they attended Mito International Japanese Language School, specializing in Japanese Language and Literature. David has additional certifications including Japanese Language Proficiency Test Level 1 and Test Center Administrator from Educational Testing Service (ETS).
