Paul R. has a diverse work experience in various technology-related roles. Paul started their career as a Family Room Specialist at Apple Retail in 2010. Paul then worked as a Service Desk Analyst Intern at Orbitz Worldwide, where they repaired laptops, provided customer support, and performed desktop imaging and deployment. After that, they were a Help Desk Technician at InnerWorkings, providing technical support.

Paul then joined the University of Chicago - Oriental Institute as an IT Administrator, where they managed PCs, Macs, servers, and printers, and improved the institute's infrastructure while cutting costs. Paul also logged and supported incident tickets and collaborated with network services and desktop engineers.

Paul then worked as a Technical Support Specialist II at NORC at the University of Chicago before joining West Monroe Partners. At West Monroe Partners, they served as an Engineer and later as a Senior NOC Analyst. In these roles, they worked on AWS design, created IAM roles, automated server patching, performed troubleshooting, and conducted routine tasks for Windows servers and vSphere.

After West Monroe Partners, Paul returned to Ascend Technologies as an Engineer and Cyber Security Analyst I. Paul then transitioned to the role of Cyber Security Risk and Vulnerability Management Lead.

Paul R. earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Game and Interactive Media Design from The Art Institutes between 2007 and 2009. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate's degree in Computer Animation from Full Sail University from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, Paul R. holds certifications in Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate and Cloud Practitioner, both obtained from Amazon Web Services in 2019 and 2018 respectively. Paul also holds the MTA: Windows Server Administration Fundamentals certification, certified in 2017 by Microsoft.
