Richard Wood

Richard Wood currently serves as the Sport and Recreation Manager at Ashburton District Council, a role held since October 2014 that involves leading a dedicated team to enhance community outcomes, particularly in managing key recreational facilities such as the EA Networks Centre, Tinwald Pool, and Mt Hutt Memorial Hall. Wood's extensive responsibilities have included oversight of recreation business services, customer engagement, budgeting, and project delivery for the recreation sector. Previous experience includes a significant role at Gym Company Ltd, where Richard served as a Personal Trainer and later as Sports Facility Assistant Manager.
