Anthony Russo

Anthony Russo has a strong background in information security and compliance. Anthony is currently the Head of Information Security & Compliance at Official ASM Global since April 2021. Before that, they worked as the CIO/CISO & VP of Technical Delivery, Cybersecurity at SPARQ Global from July 2019 to November 2020, where they built and led IT and technical delivery for the commercial cybersecurity business. From June 2018 to May 2019, Russo served as the VP, IT & Managed Security Operations at ZenOpz, a Zeneth Technology Partners subsidiary, where they developed commercial cybersecurity capabilities. Prior to that, they held the role of Director, GRC at Zeneth Technology Partners from January 2017 to June 2018, where they initiated GRC efforts for commercial and Federal clients. Earlier in their career, Russo worked as the Director, IT Security & Governance at Qlik from April 2010 to November 2016, the Senior Manager, IT Compliance & Security at Unisys from January 2008 to May 2009, and the Senior Manager, Audit & Management Services at Unisys from January 2007 to December 2007. Anthony also has experience working at Deloitte & Touche LLP as a Senior Manager in the ERS function from September 1995 to December 2006. Additionally, Russo has instructional experience from their time as a Co-Instructor at the University of Northern Colorado and as a CAS Consultant at Coopers & Lybrand.

Anthony Russo pursued their education at Clarkson University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from 1987 to 1991. Anthony continued their studies at the same university, specializing in Management Systems with a concentration in M.I.S. (Management Information Systems) and completed their Master of Science degree in 1993. Additionally, Anthony Russo holds certifications as a Certified Information Privacy Professional (US) from the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals), obtained in August 2016, and as a Certified Information Systems Auditor from ISACA, although specific details regarding the dates of obtaining this certification are not provided.
