Kokulapalan Wimalanathan

Kokulapalan Wimalanathan is an accomplished bioinformatics scientist with extensive experience in the field. Currently serving as a Senior Bioinformatics Scientist at Atalanta Therapeutics since February 2022, Kokulapalan leads bioinformatics projects focused on transcriptomics and genomics and mentors junior scientists to enhance drug safety and efficacy. Previous roles include Genomics Data Scientist at GreenLight Biosciences, where Kokulapalan developed scalable RNA design pipelines, and Bioinformatician at SOPHiA GENETICS, providing analyses of client sequencing data. Additionally, Kokulapalan has a strong academic background, holding a Ph.D. in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology from Iowa State University and previous teaching roles at Miami University and the University of Colombo, contributing significantly to bioinformatics research and education.
