Supriya Sen

Supriya Sen is a seasoned scientist with extensive expertise in biochemistry, molecular biology, and immunology. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Amgen since February 2024 and at Atara Biotherapeutics since February 2021, Supriya has led the development of cell-based potency assays and provided strategic oversight to junior team members. Prior experience includes a role as an Assistant to Associate Project Scientist at UCLA's Department of Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics, where Supriya established significant methodologies in Next Generation Sequencing and contributed to key publications on immune gene expression. Earlier positions include Research Scientist at the Veterans Medical Research Foundation, where groundbreaking work was conducted on RNA-binding proteins in relation to liver metabolism and cancer prognosis. Supriya holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Calcutta.
