Luis Pedro

Luis Pedro has extensive work experience in various legal roles. Luis is currently serving as a Senior Legal Counsel at Atlas since June 2021. Before that, they co-founded AtlanticBH - International Consultants, Lda in February 2020. Prior to their entrepreneurial venture, Luis worked at Solvay for several years, holding positions such as Global Business Unit Legal Counsel, Region Compliance Officer Europe, Managing Lawyer, and Lawyer. In these roles, they played a crucial role in handling transborder commercial transactions, contract negotiation, legal compliance, risk identification, and mitigation. Additionally, Luis managed legal affairs for all group companies in Portugal, including chemical, pharmaceutical, and holding subsidiaries. Luis also gained experience as the Deputy Head of Site HR & Administrative Dept. at an earlier stage in their career. As a start to their legal career, Luis worked as a Trainee Lawyer at a law firm, where they learned the trade. Overall, Luis Pedro possesses a wealth of legal expertise and has successfully held diverse positions throughout their professional journey.

Luis Pedro attended Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa from 1988 to 1993, where they received a Graduate degree in Law. Following this, in 1993, they pursued professional training and an internship at the Portuguese Law Bar in the field of Law. Luis then returned to their education in 2007, attending Universidade Nova de Lisboa for a brief period of time, specializing in Management & Company Law with a Postgraduate degree.
