Technical Support Manager at Atom Power

Clayton Pacunas has over 20 years of work experience in the power generation industry. From 1998 to 2003, they served as a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, where they were trained to work on pneumatics, hydraulics, gas, diesel, and turbine engines, gear boxes, electronics, AC and DC circuits, wing and fuselage jacks, cranes, aircraft moving vehicles, 400HZ turbine generator/aircraft starter, 60 and 400Hz diesel generators, MMG frequency converters, HVAC systems, and mobil maintenance facilities. Clayton was also responsible for all of 990 shops Quality Control, and maintained power generation for flight line maintenance on Marine Corps fixed wing assets and runway power in Kuwait before and during Iraqi Freedom.

From 2003 to 2006, they worked at Generac Power Systems as a Service Technician, Warranty Analyst, and Tech Trainer, where they were responsible for residential and commercial/industrial warranty analysis, processing, and quality control, as well as assisting in the development and maintenance of training programs. Clayton also assisted a nationwide network of technicians to perform troubleshoots and repairs via phone, e-mail, and on site.

From 2006 to 2007, they were the Warranty Manager at Zabatt Power Systems Inc., where they handled residential and commercial/industrial warranty processing and quality control, as well as inside sales for residential light commercial equipment and parts.

At Assurance Power Systems from 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Power Solutions Engineer and Technical Service Manager. As a Power Solutions Engineer, they sold and engineered high profile residential and commercial/industrial equipment up to megawatts of power, sold, engineered, and integrated new advanced complex controls into existing power systems, and sold, engineered, and performed high profile residential and commercial/industrial services on systems from 7Kw to megawatts of power. As Technical Service Manager, they engineered and assisted in the selling of high profile residential and commercial/industrial equipment from 7Kw to megawatts of power, engineered, sold, and performed high profile residential and commercial/industrial services on megawatts of power, and managed high profile commercial/industrial installations from inception to customer orientation of up to 10MW grid tied equipment.

From 2015 to 2017, they were the North Carolina Service Manager and Application Engineer at Western Branch Diesel. As North Carolina Service Manager, they managed service operations for the North Carolina territory. As Application Engineer, they worked with engineers to size all standards of Gensets, ATS’s, Switchgear, wrote specifications, and coordinated breakers.

From 2020 to 2021, they were the Power Generation Service Manager-North Carolina at Curtis Power Solutions.

Currently, they are the Technical Support Manager at Atom Power, Inc.

Clayton Pacunas has an educational background that includes a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix, which they obtained between 2004 and 2009, and an Electrical Journeymen Cert from the Associated Builders and Contractors Institute, which they obtained between 2008 and 2012.
