Mike Armstrong

Vice President, Regional Operations at ATS Automation

Mike Armstrong has extensive work experience in various roles within different companies. Mike started their career in 2002 as an Automation Consultant at ATS Automation Tooling Systems, where they provided recommendations for production line enhancements. In 2008, they worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Centra Industries, focusing on special projects and continuous improvement initiatives. Later that year, they joined Rothsay, Maple Leaf Foods as a Six Sigma Black Belt, managing cross-functional projects and providing coaching on Six Sigma methodology. In 2012, they became the Maintenance Manager at Rothsay, A division of Darling International Canada, where they oversaw maintenance and yard personnel, managed capital projects, and implemented performance indicators. In 2014, they joined ATS Corporation as a Project Manager in the Life Sciences Group, and eventually progressed to the role of Operations Manager and Divisional Director. Currently, they hold the position of Global Director, After Sales and Service, Continuous Improvement and New Company Integrations at ATS Corporation, where they collaborate with business units and new M&A integrations to drive after-market segment growth and deploy strategic initiatives.

Mike Armstrong earned a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2002. Mike later pursued a Master of Business Administration degree in Business and Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University from 2007 to 2010.
