Magda Zubala has a diverse work experience. Magda began their career in 2011 as a Studio Photographer at The Photo Lounge. Magda then took on a 3D Artist role at HGA Creative Communications in 2011, a freelance role. In 2013, Magda became the General Manager at Maison Blanc. In 2018, they moved into the Machine Learning Graduate Engineer role at JENOPTIK Traffic Solutions. Most recently, Magda has been working at Wunderman Thompson since 2019. Magda has held two roles there, Senior Data Scientist and Data Scientist. In their Senior Data Scientist role, Magda has worked on projects such as an image classifier for sensitive/non-sensitive teeth, sentiment and emotion analysis in short texts, and bark detection in sound clips. In their Data Scientist role, they have worked on NLP solutions on aggregated social media platforms data, acted as the main back-end engineer on the development of multiple products, proposed and implemented ML models and pipelines, and automated and productionised ML pipelines in GCP and Azure. Magda is currently working as a Data Scientist (Product) at Attest, a role they began in 2022.
Magda Zubala has an extensive educational background. Magda completed a Master of Science (MSc) in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Southampton from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned a BSc(Hons) in Computer Animation and Special Effects from the University of Bradford from 2007 to 2011. In addition, Magda has obtained various certifications, including Introduction to Julia from Julia Academy in December 2020, Fundamentals of GIS from Coursera in July 2020, Advanced Python from LinkedIn in June 2020, Robotics: Perception from Coursera in January 2019, Introduction to Programming with MATLAB from Coursera Course Certificates in December 2016, and Basic Statistics from Coursera Course Certificates in November 2016.
