Vice President, Strategy & Insights

About the role

The Vice President of Strategic Insights is responsible for delivering high-impact strategic insights for a global, multi-product, SaaS company.

This is a hybrid role in Austin, Texas (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in office). 

What will you be doing?

• Collaboration with all various departments, including across products
• Provide leadership and guidance to product employees
• Cross-product Strategy
• Building and growing an analytics and insights capability to serve the cross-product focus

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or advanced degree preferred
• Ability to gather data from the market and customers to analytically determine business priorities
• Ability to work across multiple teams to ensure end results 
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrates a clear understanding of how changes in competitors, clients, regulatory decisions and market segments affect Auctane‘s business.
  • Translates broad corporate strategies into clear, specific objectives and plans.
  • Creates plans that address specific business objectives or challenges.

  • Proven success at building, developing, inspiring, and retaining a high-performing team of competitive minded professionals in a fast-paced, collaborative global environment. Systematically develops employees through stretch assignments with specific development goals.

• Additional Management Responsibilities:

  • Performance Management: setting and managing goals, on-going coaching, corrective action, annual reviews, rewards/recognition, and team/individual development
  • Employee Life Cycle Management: headcount forecasting, job descriptions, recruiting/hiring, termination 
  • Governance: ensuring compliance to company policy/practice (e.g. attendance, behavior, workplace attire), ensuring compliance to employment law (e.g. time keeping, anti-harassment and diversity)
  • Leadership: ensures availability to staff, team building, building rapport with individuals, encouraging strong collaborative relationships between individuals and departments, facilitating a healthy work/life mix, solicits and applies feedback (internal and external to team), self-improvement as a leader/manager of people
  • Culture Ambassador: proactively demonstrate and cultivate a culture of cooperative collaboration, strong work ethic, solutions-orientation, quality focus, results-orientation,  relaxed/enjoyable atmosphere, team- and individual- celebration, and company/product pride

What will make you stand out?

• Five or more (5+) years of Ecommerce experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with global technology and e-commerce platforms.
• Tech or Financial Services Experience
