Lusiné Bozoyan has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of scientific research. Lusiné is currently working as a Senior Scientist at Aurion Biotech, starting in February 2023. Before that, they worked at bluebird bio as a Scientist II from October 2020 to February 2023. Prior to that, Lusiné served as a Research Associate and Lab Manager at the University of Toronto from July 2017 to October 2020. In this role, they managed a lab, coordinated project teams, and designed drug screening assays for neurological disorders. Lusiné also worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in Industry, R&D at Héma-Québec from January 2016 to May 2017, where they developed gene editing platforms and optimized genetic therapies. Lusiné also gained experience as a Graduate Student Researcher in Neuroimmunology at CHU de Québec from July 2012 to December 2015 and as a Graduate Student Researcher in Neurogenesis at CERVO Brain Research Centre from January 2009 to June 2012. Additionally, they worked as a Mentor in time-lapse imaging at a summer school program called Frontiers in Neurophotonics in May 2011. Earlier in their career, Lusiné worked as a Trainee-Technician in the laboratory of Microbiology and Biotechnology at Yerevan State University from June 2008 to December 2008 and conducted undergraduate research monitoring soil microorganisms near the Atomic Power Plant of Armenia from September 2006 to May 2008. Lusiné also served as a Teaching Intern at a high school from January 2008 to May 2008.
Lusiné Bozoyan pursued their education at Université Laval from 2012 to 2016, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Neurobiology and Neurosciences. In addition to their academic degree, they also obtained a Certificate in Project Management from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies in September 2019. Lusiné Bozoyan further enhanced their skills and knowledge by completing a Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) certification from Héma-Québec in January 2016.
